A controversial book about the brutality of Turkish orphanages is to be published – even though the Queen’s lawyers tried to get it banned. So what does this have to do with Fergie?

Sarah Ferguson penned the preface to Under Cover, written by ITN investigative reporter Chris Rogers, when she initially fully cooperated on the book.  She also had Buckingham Palace’s backing. She also appears on the book cover! But she later instructed lawyers to stop its publication after her involvement sparked a major row between Turkey and Britain.  The Turkish goverment claims the Duchess, who has also made a television documentary about it, entered the country and filmed illegally.
